This policy explains what Faith Debate collects, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to run the platform.
1. What we collect
Account information you provide (email, display name, chosen religion, avatar, bio); content you create (debates, posts, comments, messages); and technical data such as device and usage information needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use it
To provide and improve Faith Debate: authenticating you, showing your profile and content, powering matchmaking and notifications, processing subscriptions, and keeping the community safe.
3. Who we share it with
We share data with service providers that help us run the platform — for example authentication and database hosting, real-time audio/video, payment processing, and email delivery. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Public vs. private
Your profile, public posts, and public debates are visible to others. Direct messages and private debates are limited to the people involved. Blocking a user prevents them from being matched with you again.
5. Your choices
You can edit your profile, manage notifications, and delete your account from Settings. Deleting your account removes your profile and associated content, subject to limited retention required by law or for security.
6. Data security and retention
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data and retain it only as long as needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
Faith Debate is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We will post updates here with a new date. For privacy questions or data requests, contact us through the support options in Settings.
